Dieser Sektor umfasst sämtliche Stellenangebote aus dem Bereich Corporate Banking. Corporate oder Commercial Banking stellt den Überbegriff für unterschiedliche Bankdienstleistungen für Großunternehmen dar, worunter üblicherweise Firmen mit einem Buchwert von 25 Mio. US-Dollar aufwärts verstanden werden.
Grob gesagt zählt zu den Berufsaufgaben im Corporate Banking die Vermittlung von Darlehen (ein Service, der unterschiedlichste Formen annehmen kann), das Angebot von Cash-Management-Services zwischen verschiedenen Ländergesellschaften eines Unternehmens, Absicherung vor Währungsschwankungen oder das Angebot von Treasury-Lösungen (die Verwaltung von Devisen, Cashflow und Schulden).
Karrieren im Bereich Corporate Banking zielen auf unterschiedliche Branchen ab. Corporate Banker spezialisieren sich oft auf bestimmte Branchen wie z.B. Automobil, Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, Konsumgüter- oder Chemieindustrie.
Am unteren Ende der Karriereleiter starten Junior Corporate Banker oft als Kreditanalysten, die die Bilanzen von Unternehmen bewerten und die Entscheidung vorbereiten, ob Kredite vergeben werden oder nicht. Sie begleiten auch häufig Senior Sales- und Kundendienstmitarbeiter zu Verkaufsgesprächen mit dem Ziel, Produkte an Unternehmenskunden zu verkaufen.
Senior Corporate Banking-Stellen sind stärker kundenfokussiert. Senior Corporate Banker sind oft Business Development Manager, die neue Kunden gewinnen wollen, oder Relationship Manager, die bestehende Kunden betreuen. Beide Berufsbilder involvieren oft die Betreuung von Chief Executives und Finance Officers und die technische Beratung zu den Finanzierungs- und Cashflow-Bedürfnissen eines Unternehmens.
Relationship Manager werden von einem Support-Team unterstützt, das sich mit ihren alltäglichen Bankingbedürfnissen befasst. Falls ein Unternehmen Finanzierungen aufbringen muss, bietet das Relationship Management Team auch Transaktions- und Strukturierungsberatung.
Im Hinblick auf anders geartete Banking-Karrieren beschäftigen Corporate und Commercial Banken auch Mitarbeiter in den Bereichen Kredit-/Risikoeinschätzung, Produkte (Entwicklung von Banking-Produkten zur Lösung der kundenspezifischen Probleme) sowie im Operations- oder Treasury-Management (Verwaltung von Devisen, Cashflows und Schulden).
Die Standardprodukte zur Unternehmensfinanzierung werden gelegentlich auch als „plain vanilla“ bezeichnet. Dabei besteht die Geldverleihfunktion aus mehreren Formen, u. a. kurzfristige Kredite, Überziehungsrahmen und Langzeitkredite.
Zu den Cash-Management-Produkten und -Services zählen üblicherweise Devisenkonten, Termingeldeinlagen, Online- und Mobile-Banking und Unternehmenskreditkarten.
Corporate Banks unterstützen internationale Unternehmen bei ihren grenzübergreifenden Geschäften, indem sie Handelsfinanzierung sowie Trade-Dienstleistungen wie Bankgarantien und Dokumenteninkasso bereitstellen.
Der Treasury Services-Bereich des Corporate Banking zielt auf den Schutz von Geschäftscashflows vor Marktschwankungen mithilfe von Hedging-Instrumenten ab, darunter Devisentermingeschäfte und Optionen.
Sie akzeptieren Geld als Termingeldeinlagen und sind auch an der Zahlungsbearbeitung durch elektronische Überweisung, EFTPOS, Internet-Banking oder auf anderen Wegen beteiligt.
