Auf dieser Seite finden Sie alle unsere Stellenangebote aus dem öffentlichen Sektor. Die Stellen und Berufe im öffentlichen Bereich fallen recht vielfältig aus: von der Arbeit für Bund, Länder, Kantone und Kommunen bis hin zu nachgeordneten Behörden oder internationale Organisationen.
In diesem Sektor bieten wir z. B. Stellen bei Zentralbanken und Aufsichtsbehörden sowie bei Treasury-Abteilungen der Regierung (Verwaltung der Ausgaben und des Cashflows der öffentilchen Hand) und im öffentlichen Dienst. Ein Finanzberuf im öffentlichen Sektor kann alles beinhalten, angefangen von Accounting und Finanzmanagement über das Management von Investitionen der Behörden bis hin zu versicherungsmathematischen Berufen, bei denen Pensionsverpflichtungen verwaltet werden, oder Finanzberufe und Investment-Consulting-Stellen auf Führungsebene oder Erarbeitung der Strategie des öffentlichen Sektors und der IT.
Accountants spielen ebenfalls eine Rolle im öffentlichen Sektor. Sie sind dafür verantwortlich, dass die Aktiva entsprechend verwaltet, Kosten kalkuliert, Ziele erreicht und Bereiche mit schlechter Leistung identifiziert werden. Die Überwachung des öffentlichen Sektors nimmt laufend zu: Angestellte haben mit Steuergeldern zu tun und Regierungen auf der ganzen Welt sind unter Druck, ihre Ausgaben zu reduzieren.
Accounting-Berufe im öffentlichen Sektor umfassen Stellen für interne Auditors und Kostenbuchhalter, Finanzbuchhalter und Finanzleiter mit der Gesamtverantwortung für das Management der Finanzgeschäfte und Risiken der Organisation. Accountants im öffentlichen Sektor verfügen oft über spezifische Qualifikationen aus dem öffentlichen Sektor.
In diesem Sektor bieten wir auch Stellen in den Treasury Management Departments des öffentlichen Sektors auf lokaler Ebene an. Dabei handelt es sich um die Abteilung, die die Investitionen und Cashflows einer lokalen Regierungsorganisation verwaltet und die mit diesen Aktivitäten verbundenen Risiken kontrolliert.
Nicht alle Berufe im öffentlichen Sektor schließen die direkte Arbeit in der Regierung ein. Viele Privatunternehmen unterstützen Geschäftsbereiche des öffentlichen Sektors. Beispielsweise verfügen die meisten großen Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaften über ein florierendes Geschäft mit dem öffentlichen Sektor, die Auditors beschäftigen, um unabhängige Prüfungen des öffentlichen Sektors durchzuführen. Die Big 4 beschäftigen auch Teams zur Unterstützung von IT-Projekten oder zur Prüfung der Dienstleistungserbringung durch den öffentlichen Sektor. Es gibt Stellen bei Privatunternehmen in Bereichen wie Investition in und Kreditvergabe an „gemeinnützige“ Organisationen und Erbringer von Finanzierungslösungen für die öffentliche Hand.
Jobs im öffentlichen Sektor werden generell als weniger stressreich als in der Privatwirtschaft eingeschätzt, obwohl viele das bestreiten würden. Im öffentlichen Sektor getroffene Entscheidungen haben generell zusätzlich zur finanziellen Dimension auch eine soziale Komponente. Es stellt oft eine große Herausforderung dar, das Gleichgewicht zwischen widerstreitenden sozialen und finanziellen Interessen zu wahren.
